Edmund's current role as Heritage Advisor to both Design for London and Transport for London involves regeneration projects in Barking, Deptford and Dalston, proposed housing intensification strategies for town centres and the Mayor's Cycle Hire Scheme. He has also advised on the heritage implications of urban realm and bus projects, London Overground, and the Woolwich Arsenal development.

Before he joined Design for London and TfL, Edmund was the Head of Conservation, Urban Design & Arboriculture at both Lambeth and Camden borough councils. Projects included the regeneration of County Hall and the refurbishment of the Royal Festival Hall. He has promoted high quality new architecture and the sensitive re-use of historic buildings and was also an assessor for the Camden Design Awards.

Edmund is a chartered town planner and a foundation member of the Institute of Historic Building Conservation. He has studied Social and Economic History and has two Masters in Urban Planning & Tourism and Town & Country Planning.
