London’s Great Outdoors – A Manifesto for Public Space is the Mayor’s vision for public space in London. It is a statement from the Mayor of the importance of public spaces in the city to the quality of life of Londoners and visitors to London. It contains a commitment from the Mayor to champion their improvement. Included in this manifesto is a strategy for spatial investment. This strategy sets out the criteria that will guide the LDA and TfL when making decisions about where to invest in public realm improvements.

Better Streets – Practical Steps establishes principles in the approach to designing public space. Also included is an implementation plan listing a series of street improvement projects that are due to happen in London.

Better Green and Water Spaces sets out a similar range of principles for the design of green spaces and river and canal spaces and includes an implementation plan for green and water space improvements across London.
