We are working across London to provide ambitious improvements to the network of public spaces, from the doorstep to the street, parks and landscapes.

The LDA and Design for London have been working with LB Hackney since 2008 to develop a masterplan for Hackney Marshes and Mabley Green, and deliver key elements pre-2012. The masterplan forms part of the Olympic Fringe Delivery Programme and £3m LDA funding has helped deliver new changing rooms for South Marsh and Mabley Green as well as new planting and pathways, provision of a wider range of facilities for all users and enhanced access into the green spaces and connections to the wider Lower Lea Valley.

The South Marsh community hub – designed by Stanton Williams – is now complete and in full use. It provides an education facility and cafe alongside 30 new changing rooms.

Mabley Green changing rooms and offices will be complete in April.
