Design for London worked with the London Development Agency (LDA) and its development partner to create new industrial units for businesses relocated from the site of the 2012 Olympics.
Formerly part of the Lea Bridge Gas Works, the site now houses 165,000 sq.ft. of industrial space. Design for London advised through the early stages of the project, working with the LDA and its development partner Rosemound to create a series of small and medium-sized industrial units. Sergison Bates prepared the concept design for the site, which reflects the relationship between residential development on the east side and the open spaces of the Lea Valley to the west, allowing for future development to the north of the site along Lea Bridge Road.
