The London Development Agency and Government Office for London commissioned Urhahn Urban Design (with assistance from CB Richard Ellis) to undertake a study on town centre intensification in North London. Design for London supported and worked with the consultant team.
The context for the study is the need to make more efficient use of land and buildings in our existing centres, releasing opportunities for more housing and employment to meet growth needs. Published in June 2006, the study illustrates a collection of ideas and examples in ten different and varied locations across north London, drawing on Urhahn Urban Design's experience of working in a European context.
