The London Festival of Architecture runs every two years. It is a celebration of the capital's buildings, places, culture and creativity and the biggest event of its kind in the world. Design for London was delighted to be principal sponsor of the 2008 festival which ran from 20 June - 20 July.

London's Largest Living Room

20th - 23rd June, Somerset House courtyard

The courtyard at Somerset House was transformed into London's Largest Living Room complete with outsize furniture, giant television screen and plenty to read. The installation was designed by Gerrard O'Carroll and offered an opportunity to see new street furniture designed by Studio Weave. Visitors were invited to make themselves at home.

 

If I Could Design London I would...

20th June - 20th July, Somerset House, Hermitage Rooms

A Design for London exhibition that showcased hundreds of ideas for London put forward by architects and members of the public.
