Mayor of London Boris Johnson formally opened the park on 19th March. The completion of the park marks the successful collaboration between TfL, the LDA, Design for London, the London Borough of Tower Hamlets and private developer Tishman Speyer to improve the public realm in Aldgate. As part of the removal of the Aldgate gyratory, it provides a new green space for local residents, workers and visitors to the area. Braham Street Park is part of the High Street 2012 programme and located between Mansell Street and Leman Street.
