Seven Kings is located on the route of the High Road (A118), two kilometres to the east of Ilford Metropolitan Town Centre in East London. It once formed part of the ‘Roman Road’ stretching from Whitechapel to Colchester. Crossrail will soon follow the route of the High Road, bringing renewed interest to the area and potential rise in land values. The London Borough of Redbridge views this event as a unique opportunity to reinvigorate a fading town centre through improvement of public realm, connectivity and attraction of inward investment.

The London Borough of Redbridge, together with Design for London, has appointed Muf Architecture to undertake a design and feasibility study to improve the public space in front of and within the vicinity of Seven Kings station.

Seven Kings Revival is part of The Mayor's Great Spaces Initiative which supports the excellent design and delivery of public realm projects across London.
