Design for London and its predecessor organisations have worked closely on the plans for the Olympic Park since the bid was launched in 2004.

Design for London has participated in selection juries for open competitions for a number of Olympic projects. We have an ongoing role advising the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) on the design proposals for the Olympic Park. Design for London also provides design advice on the legacy aspects of all of the ODA's projects, as part of their role within the Legacy Masterplan process led by the London Development Agency (LDA).

Between 2006-2008 Design for London worked in partnership with the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment (CABE) to run an independent design review panel for Olympic projects, scrutinising and providing comments on proposals at every stage of development. Design for London continues to participate in these design reviews as an invited observer.

Design for London and its predecessors also advised the LDA on the design proposals for several businesses that needed to be relocated to clear the Olympic Park site.
