ExCel London operate London's largest exhibition centre on this London Development Agency (LDA) owned site. It is bringing forward development on adjacent estates along the northern edge of Royal Victoria Dock.

Design for London is assisting the LDA Land & Development team and ExCel on masterplanning studies, which seek to improve the public realm and links with neighbouring sites including a new hotel development designed by Jestico + Whiles.

Urban Strategies International has produced a draft vision and masterplan for the land around the exhibition centre. A large extension of the centre, designed by Grimshaw, is currently on-site for completion before 2012.
